Garden Planner - Answers to common problems
Problem: I've lost my license key and I need to re-install Garden Planner Answer: Don't panic - we can look it up for you. Just use the contact form (or send an email). Please include your full name and if possible the email address you used when your purchased Garden Planner. I cant save my plan (I get an error code of 2038) Answer: If you are seeing this on a Mac running osx el captian see this first. Otherwise the first thing is to try saving your plan in a different location. eg: save the plan on your desktop or in the documents folder. It may be that Garden Planner doesn't have permission to save the plan where you are trying to save it. If you are using Garden Planner on Windows you could also try before you start right clicking on the Garden Planner icon on your desktop and choosing Run as Administrator from the menu. This means you will be running Garden Planner with more permissions and hopefully it will let you save your plans anywhere. Finally, Garden Planner does make a backup of your plan about every ten minutes so you should be able to get your plan back if you think you have lost it. From the help menu choose Recover Last Plan. Mac: I can't open the plan I saved Answer: If you are using Garden Planner on the Mac and when you double click on a Plan it wont open and when you browse to Open the plan you can't find it. Solution: Find the plan you saved in Finder and check that the plan has the extension .gml at the end of the file name. If it doesn't then try adding .gml to the end of the plan file name (eg: myplan.gml) and then double click on the plan name to open it.
Answer: Click on the category name at the top of the objects panel. It will show a list of different plant categories.
Answer: First try downloading the latest version
of garden planner and see if that resolves the issue.
