If you have Garden Planner 3.0 to 3.5 installed and want to upgrade to version 3.3

Firstly its a free upgrade/update. Just download and install the latest trial version and it should auto detect your key and activate the full version.

Information for previous users of Garden Planner (version 2.5) who want to upgrade to version 3

Important:
Garden Planner 3 is a completely new version of Garden Planner. It still has the same easy to use interface and look and feel of previous versions of garden planner, but the new version is faster, better and adds a whole lot more.

However because it is a brand new version it is recommended that you dont uninstall garden planner version 2.5 right away. You can use your existing license key to activate garden planner 3 and you can have both versions (2.5 and 3.0) running on the same computer.

Can I open Garden Planner 2.5 plans in version 3?
Yes, but when you save your plan in version 3 it will be saved as a version 3 file. You then wont be able to re-open it in version 2.5. It is recommended that you save the version 3 plan with a new file name, so you still have the version 2.5 plan as a backup.

There are some differences between version 2.5 and 3.0. The tools and labels have been completely re-developed and work differently. Your paving, fences etc created with tools will be converted from version 2.5 to version 3.0 styles. If you have re-sized labels you may find that they are not re-sized in the new version and you may have to re-size them again. A few features of garden planner 2.5 are still being migrated into version 3.0 - these include the ivy tool, my objects, the print a section option and the string of lights tool. These should be available in version 3.0 before the end of July 2011. Please check back here for updates.

If you have any problems with your old plans in the new version please let me know and I'll do everything I can to help.
